Does your nose wrinkle up in confusion when you hear the words "peaches" and "goat cheese" together? I certainly saw quite a bit of that this past weekend when I mentioned that dessert included Grilled Peaches with Honey and Goat Cheese! My family can be funny. They can't get over how certain things "sound" together, but fortunately they like pretty much everything they try so I don't worry too much about serving up new and different food to them. Personally, I love goat cheese and think there's little that it doesn't go well with! Whether served with the ultimate savory such as a garlicky pesto, or a stuffed inside french toast with sweet strawberries and maple syrup, goat cheese always wins me over! When I came across this recipe for Grilled Peaches with Honey and Goat Cheese, I couldn't wait to try it and decided it would be a great addition to dessert for our 4th of July gathering. Some were still confused as to why I was pairing goat cheese with something so sweet and serving it for dessert, but fortunately those first few bites made it crystal clear. If you happen to be stuck on that "goat cheese is only for savories" bandwagon, I urge you to jump off and give this a try - who wouldn't be pleased with a piping hot, juicy and caramelized grilled peach oozing with warm tangy goat cheese?

I definitely love the fruit and cheese combo... I want to try this with stilton!
Cheese and fruit go great together! I've made a salad with grilled peaches, crispy prosciutto and gorgonzola - the sweet, salty and cheesy combo was out of this world!
I would have never thought to use goat cheese. What a great idea! Thanks!
